
Tommaso Palmieri, born in 1996, is a Bologna-based photographer active since 2015. He has also been involved in post-documentary photography, focusing on the collectivity and how the humans create alternative form of it.
He has participated in several workshops with international artists including such as Letizia Battaglia, Arianna Arcara, Erik Kessels, Tommaso Bonaventura, Alex Majoli, Aaron Schuman, Mattia Balsamini, Paolo Verzone, Jacopo Benassi.
In 2021 he was chosen to take part in a three-day workshop with Letizia Battaglia in Forlì; in the same year he was also selected for the Fine Arts master’s degree at Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna.
In 2022, he co-founded, the photographic talk format 'DENTROECONTROCULTURA'.
In 2023, he was selected within the "Photograph-ER" training program promoted by Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia and won the Zucchelli Foundation Prize scholarship for students at the Academy of Fine Arts.
From 2023 to 2024 he made the mentee program at CESURA Collective.
In September of the same year, he won the Werther Colonna 2023 Portfolio Prize at SI Fest in Savignano sul Rubicone.
In 2024 he published his first book "(BO)yz N The Hood" and did the related exhibition at SI Fest 2024.
